Pain's new weapon

*you might want to consider reading the *tournament training: pain* thread in the forest before reading this thread.*

Pain carried the villagers dead corpse to the town's infirmary. their he waited for someone to claim the body. about 3 hours later, a couple af older people walked in inquiring about the body. After they left, Pain asked the doctor their address. The doctor refused to give pain this information, so pain told him about the sword he had to return to them. eventually he told pain the address.

Pain went to an inn and rested the night. afterwards he went to the address the doctor gave him. a lady answered the door.

"can i help you?"

Pain told the lady about the weapon, and the dead villager.

"oh, your the one who brought my son home...i owe you my thanks. please you must meet my husband"

the lady led pain through the house and into the back yard. There he saw a man practising sword and sheild manuevers.

"This is pain, he is the one who bought our son back. He also has your birthday present our son got you"

"It is a pleasure to meet you finally. Im Berka the blacksmith and this my wife Ashliegh."

Pain nodded his head and handed over the sword.

"....happy birthday"

"so...have you ever handled a sword like this?"

"no...well i did kill the goblin that killed your son with it...but im sure thats not up for discussion"

Berka never saw pain before in his life, but back in pain's timeline they knew eachother very well.

"you...don't remember me do you?"

"no...can't say that we do..."

"I see...the sword... I like it."

"If you want, i can duplicate it, free of charge. consider it a reward for your returning of our son"

"...I dont know what good that'll do in the tournament, i dont have much experience with swords."

"Oh? your competing in the tournament? I could teach you the ways of the sword myself but im too busy with the new order of swords for the castle armoury. I can recommend someone who has the time to teach you though"

And so berka told pain of a man named blyclaaf. Pain stayed the night at the blacksmith's that night, and in the morning, berka made a duplicate of the sword and gave it to pain...now pain was of to find blyclaaf for sword training.

He arranged a meeting with blyclaaf in the town's park. their they would start sword training...if blyclaaf shows up..but he didn't. someone else who was skilled with the sword turned up. he said..

"Blyclaaf cant make it, he has his hands tied, I was sent here to teach you in his place"

Seth was the one who approached in Blys stead, he walked confidently, Stormblade hanging at his side, when he was a few feet from Pain, the Warlock raised Stormblade and took a great swing, Pain panicked for a split second, before swinging his own sword to counter Seths attack, the blades stuck each other with a loud clang, Seth quickly redirected his attack towards Pains side, this to was countered, the Wizard then stopped, and sheathed his blade, Pain stepped back, and let his sword hang by his side, as he lacked a sheath...

Very good, Blyclaaf sends his apologies, and I offer my training instead, I do not pretend to be a master, but I can teach you enough to be competent... will this suit you, at least until Blyclaaf himself can train you?

Pain was happy that seth himself took time to teach him the basics of swordmanship.

"Ofcourse Seth, I accept your training."

and with that, seth taught Pain sword basics for the rest of the day. At the end of the day, Pain had learned enough to train on his own with a sword.

so pain went back to the forest to try and perfect his technique with the blade.
