Cheers filled the air, rumbling around the dirt arena in the center of Seth's castle on this, the opening day of the second ever Tournament to be held at the castle.
Seth stood in the middle of the arena, the sixteen competitors stood around him, preparing themselves for todays matches...
Hello! And welcome! Today marks the beginning of our second tournament! And this time you're all invited to watch the competition!
Now, I know that it could be a bit dangerous to let you stand around and watch them fight, but I assure you it is perfectly safe, from your seats you will be able to watch all of the action in the five arenas in use today!
All of the action will be played in the middle of the arena for you, so just watch this smoky area and you wont miss a thing!
Now, I'm sure you're all eager to see the competition get under way, but before we get started I must outline a few things;
First of all, each of you have elected one of your weapons to be your chosen tool of death throughout the entire tournament, let's see them...[/b]
Each of the competitors held up their chosen weapon...
Alright, now, Just like the last tournament, there is to be no killing, anybody who attempts to end their foes life will be disqualified immediately, and I will personally bring them down as quickly as possible. This is supposed to be friendly competition, not an excuse to kill...
Alright, as you all know, we have eight matches today, four will be fought during the day, two matches will be fought at dusk, and the final two shall be fought tonight...
The Maze is currently enveloped in heavy rain, and it is not expected to let up for several days.
Also, the platforms are currently blanketed in a thick fog, and I expect it to lead into a heavy storm later tonight, unfortunate news for Scarecrow, but I'm sure he can handle it...
Now, the arenas are located in six remote areas across the world, some are very far away. You will be transported to them from here along with your opponent, and nobody else is permitted to come with you, they will all watch from here...
Once you arrive in the arena, you may begin your fight whenever you wish. Alright then, it's time to get this under way!
With that, the fighters moved off to await their matches, all except Besor and Lance, who were to fight first...[/i]

**Lance's fight** Ok, you two are up first, in the Flame fields... Are you both ready?
The pair nodded, clutching their weapons, and then all was black for a moment, and they were stricken with a sense of motion, like galloping on a horse, but they were standing still... The feeling lasted several seconds as they sped over the oceans and the mountains toward their battlefield... A few more seconds and it was over, the two stood facing each other some ten feet apart, but they were no longer in the dirt filled arena, now they stood on a great open plain, rocky and barren, it was dotted with deep cracks and craters and the sun was fading over the horizon, dyeing the sky a deep orange with its waning light... Now and again the field would be lit as a great stream of fire spiralled up from one of the fissures, casting a flaming light across the ground and the figures of Lance and Besor...
The two looked at each other for several seconds, and all was silent as they began to walk slowly forward, and they continued to stare each other down as they circled once, and returned to their original places... Each now lifted his weapon, and bowed low... As Besor stood straight once more, a deep, powerful voice came from him...You show no fear, and much respect... That is impressive in one so young... Let us fight! With this, Besor charged forward, his axe high above his head, and with a great cry he sent the axe crashing down as Lance darted to the side, just evading the crushing blow, the head of the axe drove itself deep into the hard rocks where Lance had been standing, a great torrent of flame burst forth just feet from Besor, as if forced up by his strike...
Lance took the chance, darting in he struck Besor hard on the back of his head with one of the silver bands of his staff before leaping back to avoid the great axe as it swung across to drive him off, fortunately once again it did not connect... Lance leapt back once more as another horizontal swipe narrowly missed him, but was thrown back when one of the Minotaur's huge fists ploughed into his gut, winding him and sending him crashing to the ground, his rod fell beside him as Lance clutched at his stomach...
Besor heaved his great axe high into the air and brought it crashing down again, narrowly missing Lance who had rolled forward, grabbing his rod once more... Lance shook off his pain and leapt up over Besors second swing, bringing the rod down heavily on the Minotaurs skull once more, this time he paused for a second, swaying slightly before regaining his composure and backing away a little...
With another sharp crack Lance struck at Besor, this time hitting the side of his knee and knocking the great beast to the ground with a bellow, dust and crushed fragments of rock flew into the air as Besor's great shape slammed into the ground, shaking Lance... A moment later tough Lance realised that it was not the impact that was shaking him, the entire arena was trembling, growing harder by the second until finally a dozen or more jets of fire burst forth, illuminating the fields as the sun finally sank below the horizon...
Besor lurched forward now, using the fire as a distraction he charged at Lance, his head down, Lance did not see it coming, and was sent flying some ten feet when Besors head slammed heavily into his stomach... As he flew back his helpless body punched straight through one of the fire jets, burning away the back of Lance's shirt and burning his back, the pain flooded through him as the singed skin thumped onto the hard, jagged rocks when he landed and Lance let out a shout of pain, trying desperately to summon the strength to get back up...
Before he could move however Besor was there, standing above Lance he raised his axe, ready to strike... The huge metal axe came down quickly and heavily, but the swing was never completed, Lance swung his rod with all of his strength into Besors side, sending him toppling over into the dirt and saving Lance and unpleasent end...
The two warriors lay for several seconds, Besor was stunned by the power of Lances hit, and Lance lay still struggling with the pain in his back... Lance was the first to be on his feet, he struggled up, leaning heavily on is staff for support, he was dirty and singed. Running on nothing but adrenelin now Lance forced the pain out of his mind as Besor finally got up, lifting himself easily once his shock was gone, he backed off a little, facing Lance he waited...
Finally the pain subsided and Lance stood straight, taking his staff in both hands again he motioned for Besor to come at him... A rumbling cry came from the beast as Besor ran forward, readying his axe for another strike. Lance ducked to the right, smacking the back of his foes Suddenly the ground began to tremble again, and the vents exploded into flames just missing the minotaur who had rolled off of them seconds ago... The two waited while the great stream of fire leapt up between them, spiralling into the sky for a few seconds... Finally the great column subsided, and the fight began again.
Besor moved first, taking a few steps forward, but in that moment many things happened; First of all, because the last tremor had loosened the rocks, the great minotaur fell as the stone beneath him crumbled into the river of lava below... Secondly is axe fell into the molten rock, disappearing within seconds as the extreme heat melted the weapon away... Besor was now hanging dangerously over the fires below...
Lance's eyes widened in shock when he saw his foe fall, he did not stop to think as the tossed his own weapon aside and ran forward to help Besor, dropping to his knees he grabbed the great warriors arm, ignoring the pain in his knees as the jagged rocks cut them open and small trickles of blood ran onto the earth...
He strained with all of his strength to hold Besors weight as he found a footing on the loose rocks, finally his hooves found two grooves, and he began to heave himself up with the aid of Lance, who was at his limit holding the huge minotaur... Finally Besor struggled the last few feet out of the hole and the two collapsed, exhausted from the fight and the desperate stuggle against gravity... Through the tired panting Besor spoke slowly; My weapon is gone... And I owe you my life... The battle is yours...After this, Besors head fell back and he slipped out of the waking world...
Seth was suddenly there, and helping Lance up and holding his arm high in the air, he shouted;
Lance is the victor![/b] Finally Lance fell, exhausted from his battle, and he knew nothing more until sometime the next afternoon...[/i]

**Celoran's fight** Next up was Sekuri, who was to be facing one of the newcomers; the Sword master Celoran.
Welcome everyone, to the second match of the tournament! The skies are clear and bright over the Flame Fields, and our two combatants look more than ready to fight! Without further ado, let's begin![/color] With this everything changed, and the fighters found themselves flying over seas and mountains at huge speed toward the Flame Fields... On and on they went until finally they landed heavily in the middle of the field, the flame jets seemed rather docile now, and only one or two erupted throughout the entire match, only one affecting the fight... Sekuri had just a split second to admire the scenery however, because the moment they stopped moving Celoran had jumped forward and slashed him viciously across the chest, sending the warrior back a foot or two and onto his knees, blood splashed across the ground as a cry of shock and pain echoed around the arena. He had no time to recover as Celoran lunged, missing Sekuri, who had ducked down only to turn and slash at Celoran's back to little avail, he cut the blueish cape from Celoran's shoulders but was knocked to the ground when Celoran spun around, slamming the flat of his sword into Sekuri's face with enough force to send him spiraling into the dust... Celoran jumped forward again to finish his foe, but was sent back when Sekuri's blade smashed into his chest, sparks flew out from Celoran's armour but no harm was done. Sekuri took the chance to make an attack; he jumped at Celoran but was sent right over his head by a powerful kick, tough he managed to land on his feet... Seconds later Celoran spun around, his blade drawn back, and exploded at Sekuri, this was the deciding strike; the tip of Celoran's blade drove itself several inches into Sekuri's shoulder accompanied by a great cry of pain as the cold steel pierced his flesh, Sekuri fell to his knees now, Celoran standing over him with his blade still embedded in Sekuri... Blood dripped steadily from the wound, all Celoran had to do was wait... Sekuri would be out cold soon... Give it up... Save yourself the pain...[/color] Celoran looked down at Sekuri almost with boredom, but that quickly turned to surprise as Sekuri's hand slowly moved up to his shoulder... His fingers wrapped around Celoran's blade and squeezed hard, instantly being sliced open as they gripped the razor-sharp metal, soaking it with even more blood... Another cry came from Sekuri, a mix of pain and determination as he thrust his hand forward, ripping the blade out of his shoulder and shredding his fingers in the process... He looked up, a twisted expression of hatred, pain and defiance in his eyes, and Celoran looked back at him, half impressed, half disappointed... You should have given up... I'm going to have to hurt you more now...[/color] With one powerful kick to the chin Sekuri was sent toppling over, and lay on his back before his opponent, helpless... Celoran made one more lunge to finish his foe, but only hit rock; Sekuri rolled away and Celoran's sword dug into the ground where he had been seconds before... This miss was accompanied by a jet of flame, and Celoran reeled back, his sword hand was burned badly but without missing a beat he took up the blade in his other hand, and came at Sekuri again, who was now standing, if a little shaky... Celoran was a little sluggish this time, his sword hand was useless, but Sekuri's was still unharmed; strike after strike bounced off Sekuri's sword as he parried Celoran's slower, but still very fast flurries... Celoran kept coming forward, swinging his sword in great arches now, trying to exhaust his foe, Sekuri was backing away, only just blocking the strikes; his vision was getting blurred, and his ears felt almost blocked, the clashing sound of the blades was muffled to him and he was stricken with tunnel vision, each parry was harder and harder until Celoran finally halted... Sensing his chance Celoran feigned to the right, and stabbed on the left. Sekuri's sword moved to block the feign while Celoran's thick blade dug deep into the same wound on Sekuri's shoulder, flooding his entire body with a shivering, burning pain; He cried out again, backing away, Celoran stood ready, holding his sword straight out infront of him, Sekuri stumbled back, holding his wound and struggling to lift his blade, he could barely stand or see, and his breathing was quick and shallow; the fight was almost over... Your body will give out soon...[/color] A sharp ringing was in Sekuri's ears, and he barely heard Celoran talking, he only knew that he had to strike, or he had no hope at all... He lifted his own sword, and assumed a fighting stance, albeit unsteadily... With one last heaving sigh he ran forward, swinging his blade in a wide arch at his foe, but it was pointless, the clumsy strike was brushed aside as Celoran parried, and for the third and final time he stabbed straight ahead, and his sword was driven into Sekuri's shoulder wound, making the cut even deeper with a splash of blood. The blade almost pierced right through him; Sekuri fell again, still conscious he wanted to fight on, but could do nothing more than scream in pain and anguish, he sat there, on his knees for several more seconds, struggling to stay awake... Celoran looked on, holding the sword steady in the wound he only had to wait... After almost a minute of silence Sekuri finally slumped down unconscious, and Celoran pulled the blade from him, wiping it on the remains of his cape he sheathed the deadly steel, and raised his hand in victory... Wasn't that all a bit much? I mean... You did a lot of damage to the poor man...[/color] I did what I had to to win... nothing more[/color] A slight sigh came from Seth, who had seemingly appeared behind Celoran seconds before... Celoran is the victor![/color] Bending down Seth gently lifted the small figure of Sekuri; I'd better get him to the healers... I hope Alana can take care of him...[/color] And with that, it was over, the three of them were teleported back to the castle, Celoran had won and Sekuri was taken to the healers by his opponent, who sought aid for his burned hand...[/i]

**Rumbus' fight** The sky was a milky shade of grey, with the ocassional flash of lightning in the sky. With a storm raging, neither could hear very well. Rumbus was twitching like never before, not only did he not know Alana's fighting style. He didnt even know her, while on the other side of the maze Alana was focusing her mind, listning to the storms rage as the mist in the maze rose above eye contact. It became impossiable to see from close range. Rumbus took a deep breath as he stepped into the maze, while on the other side Alana had taken a step foward, calmly just as lightning struck metres from her. Alana and Rumbus continued slowly through the maze, listning to the storm rage. Rumbus thought to himself; Well it seems I misjudged the detail Seth has done with this mazeRumbus started to run through the maze, after about five minutes he heard a noise in front of him. He drew his Dragonsabre, but as he drew it to shoulder height a fireball came flying through the mist, knocking Rumbus back into the dirt. Another fireball came flying through the mist, Rumbus just ducked and felt the hair on his head singe. Rumbus raised his Dragonsabre and rushed towards Alana, she heard him coming but could not tell the direction... Rumbus Slashed Her and she fell to one hand, breathing slowly. Alana turned around and blasted Rumbus with a high powered Fire blast sending both her and Rumbus Flying back through the maze. Rumbus relised he needed to distence himself from Alana and turned tail and ran, Alana followed quickly, sending fireball after fireball at him, each missing by just inches. Rumbus was slightly quicker and turned around, lunging at Alana. Alana sidestepped and threw a fireball, sending Rumbus crashing to the ground. Rumbus Lunged again catching Alana off guard and wounding her leg. Alana and Rumbus staggered further towards the center of the maze. Alana released another fireball, Rumbus Raised his DragonSabre and deflected it back at Alana, barey missing her. Alana seemed enraged and turned scarlet, her hands lit up with energy and she flew and Rumbus catching him off gaurd and kicking him in the face, cutting it up and knocking him down again. Rumbus raised his Dragonsabre again and charged, slicing downwards, but Alana raised her forearm and caught the blade, then Rumbus kicked her sending her streaming through the dirt. Rumbus ran at Alana and Thrusted his blade into to the earth, Alana just rolled to the side and blasted Rumbus in the face with another fireball, sending him straight through the hedge. Alana quickly followed as the maze closed up behind them. Rumbus stood up and looked around, they were in the center of the maze as Rumbus caught Alana's eyes he couldnt help but respect the determination she had for this fight. Rumbus grabbed his Dragonsabre and watched as Alana drew her Woven Blade and then charged towards Rumbus, her sword raised, Rumbus sidestepped and swung his Sabre around. He had connected, slicing Alana open and splashing blood onto the floor of the maze. Rumbus turned his back, thinking the fight over, but was thrown off as the ground started to rumble and a chunk of earth shot out like a rocket, sending Rumbus soaring into the dirt. The crowd looked on with shock and terror as both Alana and Rumbus lay on the dirt, unmoving. The storm seemed to be calming as Alana forced herself up slowly while Rumbus rolled over and stood up. Both Alana and Rumbus were staring at each other, Alana bleeding and Rumbus singed. Rumbus raised his Sabre unsteadly, barely able to... Alana was slowly raising her Woven Blade, but her body gave in and fell into the dirt. Seth's voice could be heard over the storm; Rumbus is victorious! As these words flowed through Rumbus's mind he collapsed into exahaustion...

**Blaze's fight** Are you all ready?! All right! Let's bring out the next two fighters!
Slowly Blaze stormped forward, ready to battle, however his opponent was nowhere to be found...
Minutes passed slowly as the crowd rumbled with conversation, wondering where Scarecrow was, until finally a figure hooded and cloaked emerged from the brown stone archway and made it's way toward Seth...
After a few moments of quiet talking the figure left and Seth addressed the crowd...
It seems that Scarecrow has other business to attend to, and cannot be present for his match... So, I suppose that the victor of this match is Blaze!
After another moment of confused talking the crowd burst into applause for Blaze, who had just won his first round match without even fighting...

**Blyclaaf's fight** The sword spun in his hand, it’s point set against the stone floor. He sat on a crumbled stone block, occasionally gazing to the sky. The sun was setting, faster than it appeared to do normally, but Blyclaaf, the warrior, put this down to his shear impatience. His opponent, some outsider referred to as “Darkness”, was late. Blyclaaf picked up his massive blade and put it over his shoulder before jumping back to the floor of the ruined building. His boots landed with a slight thud on the stone floor and he placed his free hand on the ground to stop an embarrassing accident. Pushing off with his left hand, he noticed the scenery suddenly dulled, the only light, shaded red, came from the center of the room. Blyclaaf turned and stared as a massive black form lunged out, arms first followed by a head that let out a god-awful cry. The red crater spewed molten rock to the immediate surrounding area as the black form grew a torso and legs, pulling itself out of the red crater, still shrieking. Blyclaaf lowered his sword in awe and the blade thudded against the quickly warming stone. The black form, now looking relatively human, stretched upward, opening its bony back features, resembling several non-feathered wings of a bird. A voice, speaking what were barely recognizable words, spat out “Call me Darkness…” Blyclaaf barely had time to lift his sword, let alone retaliate Darkness’ oversized hand as the demon backhanded him, spiraling into an already crumbling column. The remaining marble crumbled down on Blyclaaf. Throwing the pieces off him, Blyclaaf reached for his sword, lifting it just in time to parry Darkness’ blade, swung from high above his opponent’s head. The clang of the two metals was deafening, ringing through Blyclaaf’s ears as he tried, desperately, to kick his opponent from it’s overbearing position. The demon remained in its firmly gained position and lashed out with it’s other hand. Blyclaaf’s sword, still lifted above his head as he lay on the ground from the parrying movement before, was helpless to stop the physical onslaught that Darkness lay onto Blyclaaf. Strike after strike, nearly a score of blows landed on the frail human’s body, nearly crushing the armour the warrior wore. On the thirteenth blow, Darkness pulled back for a finish, a blow that would’ve crushed the warrior, his fluids dripping from the demon’s hand as the yoke from an egg. Seeing the only opportunity for survival, Blyclaaf pulled his sword back down his chest and strengthened his grip. Darkness flung his arm around and struck the sword, parting the massive fist in twain, the two halves crushing the stones beside Blyclaaf. The sword cut deep into the demon’s forearm, nearly hitting the elbow joint and Darkness stumbled back in pain. Blyclaaf lifted himself back onto his feet, a slow and agonizing feat as blood poured from his nose, his mouth, his ears and minutely from his eyes. His body, feeling crushed and empty, began to show signs of life when his breathing returned to normal. He glared at Darkness, still screaming over the slicing of his arm, raised his sword and charged. The rebellious yell let out by Blyclaaf caught the attention of Darkness, who turned and stared at the warrior, freezing him in his tracks. His muscles felt like moving, his mind ordering them to like a dictator orders his troops, but no feat of the mind would make them move. His yell continued in a monotonous voice, his vocals caught up in the demon’s spell as well. Darkness took two steps, his massive stride landing him beside Blyclaaf. The demon stepped back on his left leg and swung his right one violently, launching Blyclaaf onto a fourth storey platform. His metal armour cracked as his back landed flat against the rotting wall and he fell, his sword lying limp in his hand. Darkness jumped, the strength in his legs made him overshoot his target by a fair distance. Blyclaaf saw his move out of the corner of his eye, but left the grip on his sword as non-existent. Darkness pushed off a stone beam with his intact arm and dropped down over Blyclaaf’s body. Blyclaaf waited, until he could see Darkness’ feet and swung his sword over and perched himself on his knees. The blade cut into Darkness’ stomach, through the bone and muscle of his chest and out his back. A blue ooze dripped from his mouth and his skin began to turn to stone. Blyclaaf released his sword as the blade began to turn to stone and lay back, throwing his arms back over his head. It was over, he had won. Seth descended from the sky, unnoticed by Blyclaaf, whom had his bloody eyes shut in relief. Seth’s arms were folded and a look of disappointment was in his features. You killed him[/i][/color] he said And you know what that means, Blyclaaf.[/i][/color] Blyclaaf opened his eyes to a faded red vision of the warlock and sighed a heavy sigh before saying I’m disqualified…The air became lighter and a heavy breeze blew Seth’s hair. Steel, another contestant appeared suddenly behind Seth, his armour glowing from the glowing hole Darkness emerged from, almost forgotten by Blyclaaf in his desperate battle for survival. Darkness is not dead. He cannot die in the sense you mortals know of it.[/b] Then kindly, explain what happened here Steel.[/i][/color] Seth said softly... Steel’s voice was at times hard to comprehend, as it echoed from his helmet, which he could not remove. Darkness is not a demon as we know them…spawned from Satan as humans were created by God…mortal. Darkness is immortal…there is no known way to kill this beast. The stone is only temporary, in time he will break free and sportingly destroy as he has for eons.[/b] And how do you know this?[/b][/i] Seth replied, curious at the armoured warrior’s knowledge of Darkness. For near 4 times a thousand years I have hunted Darkness and his kind, rendering them disabled for differing periods. That was my goal in the tournament, to render his evil impotent for a time that I could rest, but it seems it has been completed for me. Thank you, noble warrior Blyclaaf. I shall see you in the next round of competition.[/b] With that, Steel disappeared, only another heavy breeze acknowledging his exit. Isn’t that something?[/i][/color] Seth said. Do you want to go back to the castle?[/i][/color] Blyclaaf nodded.

**Gorge's fight** The Arena was set, the opponent decided and Gorge was preparing himself for the next fight in the tournament… He has perched himself In a tree he had managed to grow on top of one of the seating stadiums… As he looked down he could see a slight fog creeping in. The cold grey stone and rubble scattered the landscape. Broken windows made it seem like a world of no return. As he sat there his heart began to thump. His head spun for a second. Looking downward he felt like the ground as it started to fall away. The seating began to crumble away and the fog was building up. Gorge was stuck to the branch. His legs and arms became motionless; his whole world had begun to spin. He could feel the tree swaying. The air got thin and he couldn’t breathe the air in his lungs felt as thought it was turning to dust his chest felt heavy and his throat was blocked. Gasping for air he found himself spiraling towards nothingness he tried to grab the branch but it was rising above him... as he outstretched his hand he could feel his Gnoree slowly slipping away. The once mighty warrior felt helpless. He was going to die and nothing could change it. As he lay back and prepared for death to hit. All of a sudden a familiar voice surrounded him. Gorge… Gorge... I think this belongs to you…? Gorge felt his whole body shake. Standing there on the same branch right beside him was Alana. She had his Gnoree and was throwing it into the air and catching it again. Scared and Shocked Gorge sat for a minute and took a few deep breathes. Alana handed him his Gnoree then jumped into the air and vanished. Darkness now surrounded Gorge, He could hear footsteps faintly Gorge stood up and spun around trying to see them. Panic started to set in. He grasped his Gnoree and started to run into the darkness. As he ran it seemed never ending as if there were no boundaries. The footsteps vanished into the darkness and silence surrounded him. As Gorge stood there still waiting for light to appear [glow=green,2,300]”So here we are… Where’s the ‘Revenant’ [/glow] Sensing sarcasm in Gorges voice Seth looked down displeasing then lifted his head and peered back into nothingness. As Gorge Waited for his competitor Moments later the sky around the arena darkened to a near midnight grey, Gorges Cape stood horizontal to his back as the wind picked up. Gorge grabbed his cape and covered his face. Moments went by and the wind died down and now all that could be seen was darkness. Gorge felt a little uneasy. As Seth stood there he could feel a slight pushing on his side, Looking down he could see Gorge standing by his side softly holding his robe. A piercing bolt of lightning cut the sky in two. Rain started to slowly drizzle.. Gorge coughed hoping to break the eerie silence. The Revenant now stood in front of Gorge who had been pushed sideways by Seth. He looked down at the tiny warrior and began to laugh. The Revenant looked at Seth and smirked You expect I, to fight this excuse for a man?! This is prosperous..!Gorge enraged by the petty insults took a deep breath and looked to the sky [glow=green,2,300] Blusterer [/glow] A huge bolt of Blue surrounded him like a dish from underneath his feet and lifted him high above Seth and the Revenant’s heads. Gorge Held his head high and his chest out. As he raised his arms a huge burst of wind blew up from under him. The fog and rain froze in time. The rain drops hovering as though they had been frozen. The fog remained unmoving and frozen. Gorge lowered his head and looked downwards. Seth remained in the same empowering stance. The Revenant now stood one hand holding his staff and the other rested in his arm… If you think that this impresses me you are poorly mistaken. Your wasting my time. Stop this tom-foolery and prepare to be defeated?”Annoyed by this Gorge took one more deep breath and once again cast the same spell.. [glow=green,2,300] Blusterer! [/glow] This time a green bolt of lightning shot downwards from the sky and surrounded him. The lights died down and all that could be seen was a blue and green orb with Gorge standing in the center. The orb began to rotate and the drops of rain and the fog began to twirl upwards. The sky spilt in two and the sun forced its way into the arena and renewed daylight making the ruins and all that surrounded the arena visible. Seth’s eyebrows were almost raised and if Gorge squinted he could see Seth looked almost impressed. Gorge slowly hovered to the ground and as he got closer he could see a minute amount of hurting in the Revenants eyes. [glow=green,2,300]”What seems to be the problem ‘Rev’? Sunlight hurting your eyes or is that just what you look like when you’ve been amazed [/glow] Gorge let out a little chuckle and looked upwards towards Seth but before he could say something, No doubt stupid, Seth glared down at him… Are you two gentlemen ready? I believe we have a fight to get underway…The two contenders looked at Seth and nodded. Before either of them could say a word the room went black and all they could see was each other. The arena felt as if it were a huge spinning top. Gorge began to feel queasy and thought he was going to vomit. As his stomach began to convulse the room stopped and the darkness lifted away. The two of them were now standing in what seemed to be the ruins of an old town. Gorge lifted his weapon and was about to swing but as he lifted his arm the Revenant struck Gorge in the stomach with the end of his staff. Spikes of pain burst through Gorges chest. As he fell to his knees he could hear the Revenant laughing. Gorge glanced up slightly and could see the Revenant standing there looking as though he was about to swing his staff again. Leaping to his feet Gorge ran at the Revenant and launched himself, grabbing his opponents staff. The Tiny Warrior landed with a roll and took off into the ruins, jumping and weaving through the fallen rocks and archways. He could see the Rev’ behind him gaining ground. Gorge jumped across a gap that looked as though it was an old trench or waterway. He landed and jumped again, this time up onto what looked like and old store. Gorge glanced back again and as he did he tripped and fell trough a narrow opening and landed on what appeared to be a bed of hay. Laying on his back peering up waiting for the Revenant to come bursting through the hole, he saw his opponent jump the hole and continue to ‘give chase’ in the same direction. Gorge stood up and glanced down at where he had landed. On closer inspection the hay he had landed in was manure. Gorge grabbed both staves and ran out the door. He had hopes of finding water but his hopes faded. Gorge focused on the ground and grew himself a tiny bush with a few berries. Gorge grabbed the berries and covered himself in them. Smelling a little better Gorge took off in pursuit of The Revenant. Gorge could sense he was near by but he couldn’t pick an exact location. Gorge ran towards a building to gain some cover but as he did his legs became motionless and he was sent flying into a brick wall. Gorge hit the wall at an incredible speed with an awesome amount of force. As he lay on his back motionless staring up he could see the Revenant getting closer. Gorge held the revenants staff with both hands hoping to gain some sort of manna from inside. Gorge focused on the wall and let out a scream. The Revenant Stopped moving for a moment and glanced in Gorges Direction. A purple bolt of lightning burst out of the staff and connected with the wall. Both Gorge and The Revenant gasped. Shocked that anything happened, Gorge looked up at the wall expecting it to be blown away or at least scorched. But as he glanced up he saw purple ooze covering the wall already feeling stupid the young warrior flung the staff high into the air and covered it with a spiky green vine.. Gorge cast a minor healing spell and regained motion in his legs. The Revenant had shot into the air and was now hovering above where gorge and the wall were standing. As he stood there feeling smaller then ever before Gorge felt the ooze slowly dripping down his back. The ooze smelt like mud, which was much more pleasant than manure and berries. Gorge ran as hard as he could with his semi injured legs but he couldn’t run fast enough, The Revenant cast another crushing blow that sent Gorge flying into the air. Gorge spun himself upright and managed to make an average attempt at landing. He looked up and glanced directly into the eyes of the Revenant, he could see a dark past with an even darker future. Thinking hard Gorge directed his rage at his opponent. [glow=green,2,300]”Inflamuous Particous”[/glow] Several Bolts of fire burst out. The Revenant Arced up and sent his own back at Gorge. Gorge bounded from where he was standing and landed further down on the colder rock surface below. As he did a blast of fire came crashing down and just narrowly missed his shoulder. Gorge focused his attention on the piece of ground just under his airborne opponent. 3 thin long vines shot up from the ground and tangled themselves around the Revenant. Letting out another cry [glow=green,2,300]”Inflamuous Particous”[/glow] The vines burst into flames. Gorge kept his focus, keeping the vines strong and the fire hot. He could see his opponent grabbing and breaking the vines but as he did new vines encased him. Gorge leapt into the air and hovered meters from the Rev’, He took a few cheap shots with his Gnoree, Hitting the vines around his opponent causing ash to fall to the ground bellow. Gorge begun to ease himself back to the ground but as he did he heard the revenant Shriek and a massive crack of lightning hit the ground below Gorge. The lightning was bright and caused huge amounts of pain to Gorges eyes. Gorge lost focus and once again fell to the ground, hitting it with a huge thud. Gorge opened his eyes but all he could see was a bright White light. Gorge couldn’t remember any of the healing spells Alana had taught him. ‘Vicarious percales, Blossumuail’ was to heal deep cuts but at this stage anything was worth a shot. [glow=green,2,300]” Vicarious percales, Blossumuail”[/glow] It did nothing. All he could see was white. Thinking as hard as he could the inexperienced healer remembered a cure for burns. [glow=green,2,300]”please work, please work… Tumosus flamousilia” [/glow] The spell worked, Gorge could see in colour, and although a little blurry he could see The Revenant still tearing vines from around him. ”Looks like I win, If you ask me. Just give up and save yourself the pain.[glow=green,2,300]”Its not pain that I am afraid of, It’s losing to an untalented opponent such as you”[/glow] ”A heroic speech I’m sure but it doesn’t change the fact that you’re on the lighter side of magic where your power lessens and your morals are higher. I could kill you right now, however I would probably be killed in turn and that wouldn’t fit my cause now would it.[glow=green,2,300]”Well you're right about one thing, I do have higher Morals, and as for your idea of being able to kill me, you are horribly mistaken”[/glow] With this the Revenant Grabbed his staff and held it under the throat of Gorge. His eyes were dark and his face was cold and stern, ”You dare challenge me?! You are nothing compared to me. You are a mere healer from the jungle, you’re too weak to hold your own on the field of battle.’His voice was loud and enraged; But Gorge could almost hear fear. A little annoyed at the cockiness of the Revenant, Gorge took a few steps closer and focused on the chest of his opponent. Knowing that if he didn’t injure his opponent, it would probably cause him to lose the match and or make him incredibly weak. The anger from what the Revenant was saying built up and Gorge's dislike for the Revenant burst from inside and before he could stop himself he gave it one last try. Gorge grabbed the staff from under his throat and threw it to the ground. Without even taking a second look Gorge swung his Gnoree and connected hard with the side of the Revenant. He quickly withdrew the Gnoree from within the Revenant's reach and sharply swung again hitting the same spot a little harder. The Revenant took a few step towards then held his hand facing downwards towards the tiny warrior. Gorge swung again this time connecting with the wrist of the Rev’ The Revenant let out a shriek of pain. Gorge was unrelenting. Gasping one last deep breath he held his Gnoree under the throat of the Revenant, who was now on his knees grasping his wrist. [glow=green,2,300]”KITARNUS PRETRONUM” [/glow] A tiny yellow spark shot from the end of The Gnoree. The Revenant let out another cry of pain. The yellow spark entangled itself around the Revenant and began to tighten. The Revenant lay still unable to move, he lay lifeless and unable to speak. Gorge got to his feet and stood watching, as the yellow spark got brighter. After some time the light and the spark died out, leaving The Revenant paralyzed lying on the cold murky grey stone. Gorge stood there and glanced over at his lifeless opponent. [glow=green,2,300]”Looks like I win, If you ask me. Just give up and save yourself the pain.[/glow] Gorge let out a laugh and thought to himself. [glow=green,2,300]”That was probably the cleverest thing I have ever said and nobody was around to hear it” [/glow] All of a sudden the sky turned black and silence surrounded the two contenders. The room started to spin again and moments later Gorge was standing back in the castles arena. Seth was standing beside him with the same old look upon his face. He glanced down at The Revenant and nodded. It is clear that Gorge is the winner… Congratulations Gorge…

**Jym's fight** The tree’s slowly swayed in the wind; the birds chirped happily in their nests; fish could be seen jumping from the trickeling river surrounded by a family of bears fishing for their morning feed.
It was a very calm, rather warm day resembling the middle of spring once all the flowers are in bloom, and there are no clouds in the sky. A figure was visible high in the sky. His cape blowing in the wind, with his eyes set on a small clearing in the tree’s where two fighters stood. Eye to eye, toe to toe. The sharp nose of pain was pressing deep into Jym’s soft, spongy skin.I must break you
Go for it.[/color] Seth commanded them both to take a few steps back, and prepare themselves for the war that was about to begin. Pain took his place in front of a hedge and drew his sword, his grip tight on the hilt.
Jym moved a little to the side, where the trees began to get thicker and stood beneath one. He began stretching his arms, his legs, his neck, and cracking his back and knuckles. He had chosen not to wear his armour today; in this environment it would have been much too heavy to allow him to fulfill his plan of action.
He had with him the Ensuane, it was in its sheath, however considering he was not wearing his armour, he had to tie the sheath on with thin string which he had acquired from Seth the night before. Apparently it was stronger than diamond filament, but by the seems, it looked like it would fall apart at any second.Nice belt there, froggy!
Keep talking RabiteSeth raised a dagger above his head, it glowed as if there was a storm raging inside it. Filled the blade, and bolts of electricity could be seen dancing about the metal. The blade was cast to the ground, trailed by a bolt of lightning. Standing, glowing, straight up in the ground, the fight had begun.
Already Jym had disappeared; he had taken advantage of the brilliant light to take cover in the trees above him. Pain was disoriented, confused. Only seconds ago Jym was standing before him, and now, Pain’s sword was lodged in the trunk of the tree the frog was standing before. WHACK Pain’s head had been struck by something blunt, hard. This surprise attack had lacerated the back of his head. He reached his hand around to feel the damage, and when he brought his hand back, it had blood on it.
Almost instantly his eyes began to turn red, but quickly went back to their normal colour. The progressed to withdraw his blade from the trunk, and begin his search for his opponent. After a small amount of effort he managed to dislodge his blade, put it away, and began climbing the tree. As he reached the top, he thought he saw movement in the tree beside him, so he prepared to jump from the branch to the next tree. He slowly made his way, holding the branches above him for balance. Upon reaching the end, he crouched down, and concentrated on the jump, measured how far the next tree was. He stood back up again, took a step back, and jumped.
WHACK He had been struck once again, this time in his torso. THUD He hit the ground. Laying there defenselessly a small pool of blood could be seen seeping out of the back of his head, staining the grass below him. Once again, his eyes began to change colour, the changed to a dark shade of orange, and his hair began to tinge red, before returning to normal.
Pain stood up, and straight away he keeled over. The wind was knocked out of him and he had a terrible aching sting in his side. He looked down and saw a horrible lump protruding from under his shirt, so he tore it off, and noticed straight away that one of his ribs was broken, and on the verge of piercing through his skin. The area all around his side was bright purple, indicating internal bleeding.
THOCK He was struck on the back of his neck while he was bending over by a falling tree branch. This sent him crashing to the ground, almost paralyzed by the sudden heavy impact on such a critical place on his body. He now realized how large the branch that had fallen on him was. It was pinning him down, he couldn’t move. He couldn’t muster the strength to move it.
He was struggling to get up, he was vulnerable, Jym finally came down, The Ensuane in his hand, still sheathed. He clenched it hard, CRUNCH He hit Pain square in the face with the sheathed sword. This was the blunt weapon he’d been using the whole time. Blood began spilling from Pain’s nose, CRACK Jym hit him again, hard, in the jaw, Pain spat blood onto Jym’s foot, a tooth mixed in with it.
Pain could not move. He was like a turtle on it’s back in the middle of a busy road. Jym kept hitting him, constantly, the man didn’t even have time to think. This was no fight, it was a dissection. Everytime he got hit, he got angry and his face began to change, his eyes turned red, his hair turned red, but each time it happened, Jym hit him again, which sent him back to normal, and it all started again.
The hilt of the Ensuane was covered in blood, Jym’s body was a crimson colour, covered in Pain’s drying blood. The victim was laying on the ground, unable to move, hardly breathing.
Seth called the fight. It was over. Jym had not only won, he had destroyed his opponent, Pain never stood a chance. This was Jym’s territory, the frog’s domain. Pain was simply far too cocky, too confident, too heavily armoured to move, too inexperienced.
